Sergio was born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia. He loves going to concerts, eating good food, practising fencing, and spending time with his wife and their dog, Boots. Sergio enjoys travelling and hopes to one day drive the entire Pan-American Highway from Alaska to Patagonia on his motorcycle. He has a passion for motorcycles.
He lived and worked in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, teaching in both middle and elementary schools. He has 11 years of experience teaching students of all ages, but prefers working with adults. He has taught at Universidad Pedagógica Nacional, Universidad El Bosque, and Universidad de la Sabana among other higher education institutions in the city.
Sergio holds a B.A. in Spanish and English Education from Universidad Pedagógica Nacional. He also has a postgraduate degree in Higher Education and an M.A. in Communication and Education from Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona.
He is thrilled to work at this great university and to be part of this wonderful group of professionals.
