Maria E. Oliver was born in Bogotá, Colombia and she has dual Colombian and American citizenship. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design as well as studying English at Bell School in Cambridge, England for almost two years. She obtained a Certificate of Completion in TESOL Professional Development Training from FAU, Florida Atlantic University in 2007, and her CELTA from the University of Cambridge in 2009 (the Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages).
Maria Eugenia travelled to the United States and got married there, where she got dual citizenship. She has been back in Bogotá since October 2001.
She taught English at Sergio Arboleda University for 7 years and has taught English at the Externado University since February 2007. This has been a great learning experience for her, for which she is very grateful.
Maria enjoys very much working outside and taking care of her plants, where she spends most of her weekends, painting, listening to music, but most of all teaching.
